The Role:
This position is for a site-based Sustainability and Community Coordinator.
Role Summary:
The Sustainability & Community Coordinator will proactively engage with key stakeholders, leading the development, implementation, and reporting of biodiversity and active travel programs. The role also supports broader ESG strategies to help tenants achieve Net Zero. Additionally, the coordinator will manage a calendar of engaging events—such as food pop-ups, competitions, and managing an onsite allotment—to promote work-life balance and community engagement. Relationship management and customer focus are key to this role.
Responsibilities:
* Driving the park's sustainability strategy
* Managing the travel strategy, including public transport, cycling, electrification, and car sharing initiatives
* Creating and hosting on-site events
* Assisting with social media channel management
* Providing administrative support for daily park operations
* Supporting reception duties when required
* Preparing budgets and reporting on work streams and events
Reporting Relationships:
* Reporting to: Maxim’s Director of Park Services
* Collaborating with the Operations Team, Facilities Coordinator, Security Team, and supporting asset managers including Shelborn Asset Management’s Director of Sustainability and Community
Background & Experience:
* Customer-facing experience with relationship-building skills
* Experience in events management
* Effective communication skills
* Creative and innovative ideas for engaging staff and the community
* Understanding of sustainability issues and integration into business strategy
* Ability to prioritize, multitask, and pay attention to detail
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Sustainability experience is desirable; onsite Carbon Literacy Training and support from an offsite Sustainability Director will be provided. The ideal candidate will be proactive in creating an engaging community and collaborating with onsite operations to foster a great workplace environment.
