BPAS are looking for a Safeguarding BIC Advisor to join the Safeguarding team on a full time, hybrid basis. The role As a Safeguarding BIC Advisor, you will manage safeguarding cases within the BPAS Booking & Information Centre (BIC). Reporting to the BIC Safeguarding Specialist Midwife, you will be responsible for accurately triaging safeguarding concerns, recording data, and monitoring safeguarding volumes. You will provide advice and support to BIC staff, particularly in relation to Red, Amber, and Green disclosures, ensuring timely and appropriate referrals where necessary. Additionally, you will contribute to improving safeguarding processes and training within the BIC while working closely with the national BPAS safeguarding team to uphold the organisations safeguarding agenda. This is an hybrid role, with your time spent between home and working from our head office in Leamington Spa for 36 hours per week. It's over Monday to Friday between the hours of 7am - 6pm. The rota is given 2 weeks in advance. Main duties of the job Act as first point of contact for Client Support Services staff seeking information & advice on clients with safeguarding/vulnerability concerns Identify where there is immediate risk of harm/harm has occurred, and complete statutory referrals to mitigate this risk in line with the BIC Safeguarding SOP Lead on communication of external agency safeguarding enquiries received into the BIC, ensuring these are escalated appropriately & in a timely manner Timely management of the BIC safeguarding inbox Be an approachable & compassionate advisor to all Client Support Services colleagues promoting a strengths-based environment in safeguarding Support the BIC Safeguarding Specialist Midwife with training development & facilitation of training within the BIC Report data regarding safeguarding referrals & monitor themes & trends About You To succeed in this role, you will have a strong background in safeguarding and experience working with vulnerable individuals. You'll be an approachable & resourceful professional with excellent communication & organisational skills. You should be able to work autonomously while also collaborating effectively within a team.
