Policy Analyst (Global Impact Group)
Salary from £42,679 to £51,000 pa inclusive with potential to progress to £54,730 pa inclusive of London allowance.
This is an open ended subject to funding contract for 3 years.
This joint post between the Global School of Sustainability and the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment offers an exciting opportunity to support the Global Impact Group. The role focuses on conducting high-quality policy analysis and engagement to inform global decision-making on climate, energy, and sustainable development.
The Policy Analyst will conduct data-driven research and policy analysis, working closely with the Global School of Sustainability and the Grantham Research Institute to support the Global Impact Group’s initiatives on climate, energy, and sustainable development. The role involves preparing high-quality reports, analysing large datasets, and engaging with key stakeholders to inform global policymaking and drive impactful discussions.
Minimum Requirements:
1. A master’s degree in finance, economics, climate science, climate policymaking, climate economics or a closely related field by the post start date.
2. Excellent economic analysis skills and experience of analysing large datasets.
3. Knowledge and experience across a range of climate change-related disciplines, particularly climate change economics and policy.
4. Experience of drafting reports and editing.
5. Ability to communicate complex ideas and technical issues to a range of different non-technical audiences.
