Science Teacher - Alternative Provision Location: Sheldon, Birmingham Hours: Full-time Salary: £140 - £200 per day (or Paid to Scale) Temporary - permanent, long-term Monarch Education are working closely with an Alternative Provision secondary school in the Sheldon area who are we are seeking a dedicated and passionate Science Teacher to join their vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching science at the secondary level and the ability to engage and motivate students with diverse needs. You will be responsible for delivering a dynamic and inclusive science curriculum that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and a love of learning. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver high-quality science lessons that cater to a range of learning styles and abilities. Create a safe, stimulating, and supportive learning environment that promotes student well-being and engagement. Develop individualised learning plans for students and track their progress to ensure academic success. Employ innovative teaching methods and resources, including hands-on experiments and interactive activities. Foster a positive and respectful classroom culture, promoting respect for diversity and inclusion. Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and external agencies to provide holistic support for students. Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching practices and subject knowledge. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and achievements. Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Strong content knowledge and passion for science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or General Science). Experience teaching in an alternative provision or working with students with challenging behaviours is highly desirable. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and staff. A creative and adaptable approach to teaching, with a focus on student-cantered learning.
