Job summary
This is an exciting role front of house, working closely with clinical colleagues to ensure our patients receive the highest standard of care.
The role requires someone who has a great level of attention to detail and good organisational skills for managing in a busy environment. Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential for dealing with colleagues, patients and families.
The needs of the service user will be the utmost priority. The principle of high quality customer care is at the heart of this role.
Main duties, tasks & skills required
The post holder will be required to admit/discharge and transfer patients, answer telephone enquiries and arrange transport for patients.
The post holder will be responsible for ensuring the reception area is tidy & well organised and that office supplies and stationary are ordered and kept stocked up.

Qualifications
Essential
Good standard of general education,
GCSEs or equivalent.
Desirable
ECDL or equivalent,
NVQ 2 or equivalent.
Experience
Essential
Proven administrative experience,
Proven experience of providing a busy customer focussed service,
Confident keyboard skills,
Experience using the telephone in a professional setting.
Desirable
Previous NHS experience.
Additional Criteria
Essential
Knowledge of Microsoft office,
Empathy, care, compassion and understanding to services users and relatives,
Exceptional listening skills,
Self-motivated,
Ability to work under pressure with frequent interruptions and noise,
Effective communication skills,
