Morrison Water Services is recruiting for a Site Manager to work on our Yorkshire Water contract.
As the Site Manager, you will be part of our Construction Team. This role involves the individual management of projects from inception to completion. It will be a site-based role requiring regular communication between other members of the delivery team based in the local office.
The Site Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of Supervisors, delivery teams, and sub-contractors on site. The role will require the effective utilization of time and resources to meet budgets and delivery programs. The Site Manager will be expected to carry out the implementation and monitoring of health, safety, quality, and performance standards, ensuring all work meets required water industry regulations and Yorkshire Water approved standards.
As the Site Manager, you will be responsible for acting as an ambassador for the company by supporting, promoting, and implementing all company and Business Unit initiatives. You will be accountable for SHEQ performance of Projects, including undertaking and recording findings of periodic SHEQ visits. You will be responsible for driving cultural change into the Delivery/Design Teams to eliminate/minimize physical and non-physical waste – i.e., recycling techniques, workshop recharges, standing time, etc.
You will also be required to coordinate and liaise with suppliers, specialist sub-contractors, in-house functions, and site installation & construction teams. You will need to ensure all briefings/inductions are recorded on relevant forms and retained for reference. You will need to ensure appropriate welfare is available for use and well maintained throughout the construction phase.
1. You will be responsible for communicating and recording all Corporate, SHEQ or Business Unit briefings. You will need to ensure the delivery of projects in line with tender allowances and agreed programmes of work, actively managing any slippage. You will need to ensure all site-based change is identified and communicated to engineering/commercial & support team within 1 week of occurrence.
2. As the Site Manager, you will also be responsible for all Health and Safety issues on site, completion of paperwork, including weekly safety & environmental inspections, tool-box talks, site-specific risk assessments & method statements. You will need to complete and comply with all operational site H&S requirements to ensure safe working practices. You will also ensure Personal H&S & MTRA are completed and valid.
