Position
An opportunity has arisen for a Perioperative Care Co-ordinator at University Hospital Crosshouse & University Hospital Ayr.
What you will do:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and flexible perioperative care co-ordinator to provide comprehensive clinical screening for patients awaiting surgery. You will perform face-to-face and remote Active Clinical Surveillance across tri-Prehabilitation domains of lifestyle, nutrition, and psychology. You will also signpost patients to relevant services to support this process.
You will maintain contact with patients every 3 months while they await surgery.
You will triage patients into low-risk or expedited pre-operative assessment groups.

Knowledge, training, and/or experience required to do the job:
Diploma in healthcare or equivalent SVQ III in Social or Health Care subjects.
Previous health/social care experience is essential.
Willingness to be flexible regarding work location and travel across the Ayrshire & Arran area.
Ability to work under pressure.
Understanding of how to deliver key health promotion messages (including alcohol, smoking cessation, healthy eating, and physical activity) as part of the role.

Hours:
Post 1: 22 hours, 5 days a week
Post 2: 15 hours, 5 days a week.
UK Driving Licence/Car Ownership:
