Role responsibilities
* Leading and supervising audit assignments from planning through to completion
* Preparing and reviewing year-end accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders
* Acting as a key point of contact for clients, maintaining strong professional relationships
* Supporting and mentoring junior team members, reviewing their work and providing feedback
* Managing deadlines, budgets and workflow across multiple engagements
* Liaising with other departments to deliver a joined-up service across audit, accounts and tax
* Keeping up to date with technical standards and contributing to best practice

Candidate requirements
* ACA or ACCA qualified with a strong background in audit and accounts within practice
* Proven ability to manage audit assignments and review financial statements
* Strong technical knowledge of UK accounting and auditing standards
* Excellent communication skills and a client-focused approach
* Ability to manage junior staff and work as part of a collaborative team
* Organised, motivated and confident in taking ownership of tasks
