Hours: Full Time or Part Time; 37.5 hours per week (FTE)
Salary: GBP 57,000-GBP 67,000 commensurate with experience
Location: Canary Wharf (Head Office) or one of our satellite offices in other key locations in the country e.g. Leeds or Birmingham
WFH policy: At least two days a week in the office (and or on site), and you're welcome to come in more often
Flexible working: Variety of flexible work patterns subject to line manager discretion e.g. Compressed 9-day fortnight.
Reports to: Lead Contract Manager
Role Summary:
As a Contract Manager at the Low Carbon Contracts Company (LCCC), you will be actively managing the contracts that enable investment in low-carbon energy. The role will evolve, currently operational, expanding to include project management and advisory work.
Electricity CfD Team:
Within the Electricity CfD Team, our main aim is to facilitate renewable energy projects through relationship management of Developers and/or Generators while supporting and managing them through the milestones within the Contracts for Difference (CfD), solving legal, technical and contractual problems to enable project success.
Key Responsibilities
1. Relationship Management: Building trust and resolving issues timely, understanding counterparties' challenges, and advocating for project success.
2. Communication: Advocating for counterparties, analyzing information from government and counterparties, collaborating with stakeholders, and presenting reliable data.
3. Identifying Trends: Understanding project influences on the wider portfolio, gathering trustworthy information about trends, and providing early warnings to stakeholders.
4. Enabling Contract Delivery: Helping projects succeed, understanding the Contracts for Difference mechanism, managing information accurately, and sharing process improvement ideas.
About You
You are already a Contract Manager or Assistant Contract Manager with a STEM-related degree and at least three years' relevant experience in operational delivery of construction or energy contracts, or five years' experience without a STEM degree. You have a technical or energy background or exposure to infrastructure projects before investment decision or during the construction process.
