Our client is a leading UK-based manufacturer and due to ongoing growth, they are currently seeking a Fabricator to work in their Workshop permanently.
In this role, you'll have the freedom to manage your own work without constant oversight, making self-discipline and a drive to develop your skills essential. If you're eager to grow and push your limits, we'd love to hear from you!
Responsibilities
1. Reading and understanding workshop drawings
2. Fabricating & assembling components from drawings
3. Using machinery safely to achieve high-quality products
4. Achieving high-productivity products within agreed manufacturing times
5. Completing jobs on time with zero defects - responsible for first quality check
6. Cleaning up components ready for quality control
7. Acting with integrity and honesty while looking out for other team members
8. Reporting any accidents or near misses to managers
9. Following health & safety procedures
Minimum Requirements
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:
1. Previous experience in a fabrication role within an engineering/manufacturing environment
2. A practical outlook with materials knowledge
3. Ability to read technical drawings
4. Excellent attention to detail
5. Physically fit
6. Machine maintenance experience
