Job Summary
The successful candidate will join a School In-Reach team that provides advice, signposting, identification, and brief intervention in relation to early intervention for Children & Young People's emotional health and wellbeing. The role will sit within a nursing structure and will support the School In-Reach Team Lead and Senior School In-Reach Practitioners in developing relationships with professionals within the school environment, providing education to professionals, children & young people, and families to promote emotional wellbeing and resilience through the use of advice, training, and delivery of interventions in whole class/assembly teaching, group, and individual formats. Through these approaches, this post will ensure that education staff are supported, and children and young people's needs are addressed at the right time, by the right person in a timely manner.
Main duties of the job
Amongst other things, the role will entail:
1. Acting as the allocated professional attached to various school clusters.
2. The development and delivery of emotional health and wellbeing training to relevant staff across Swansea Bay within Local Authority, Educational and Primary Care settings to build resilience and knowledge.
3. Developing clear strategies within schools to ensure Whole School Approach requirements are met within the school.
4. Working with the School In-Reach Team Lead and Senior School In-Reach Practitioners to monitor school and young people's satisfaction.
5. Developing training packages for education, parents, children and young people, and health board staff.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
