As the HR Administrator, you will be first point of contact for all day-to-day queries and will be responsible for ensuring that an efficient and effective HR service is provided to the business.
This role will also support the wider HR team on key HR projects and case management.
Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
1. Manage the administrative and transactional elements of the HR department at all stages of the employee life cycle.
2. Provide advice and guidance on day-to-day HR queries, policies and procedures.
3. Update and maintain employee records and HR/Payroll systems.
4. Managing queries in the HR shared mailbox, ensuring a prompt and accurate response.
5. Supporting monthly payroll processing.
6. Prepare and coordinate all new start documentation, including Right to Work checks.
7. Prepare and issue ad hoc letters including change to terms and conditions.
8. Track all holidays and leave of absences.
9. Assist Talent Acquisition by posting adverts, arranging interviews and emailing relevant correspondence.
10. Maintain, develop and document robust administration processes.
11. Support the team with organising training course bookings.
12. Support with collating and analysing HR data and analytics.
13. Support with expenses claims.
14. Assist the HR team on projects where appropriate.
15. Assist the HR team with case management including minute taking.
16. Always maintains confidentiality, adhering to GDPR legislation.
17. Ensures all work is carried out within employment legislation requirements and HR best practice.
Required Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience:
1. Previous experience of working in a fast-paced HR department.
2. Exceptional attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
3. Ability to build strong relationships at all levels.
4. Ability to use own initiative as well as work as part of a team.
5. Ability to prioritise workload, and manage multiple tasks effectively.
6. Experience of preparing large mail merges and working with large amounts of data.
7. Experience of data analysis.
8. A good understanding of GDPR in practice.
9. An ability to demonstrate tact and discretion when dealing with confidential information.
10. Proficient in the use of Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook.
11. Previous experience within the Engineering/Manufacturing industry is desirable.
