Clinical Practice Assessor /Practice Educators
We are looking for enthusiastic and passionate Health Visitors who are ready to further develop leadership and teaching skills by becoming Practice Assessors. You can help us to shape and develop our service for the future, a forward-thinking Health Visiting Service in Manchester.
Can you provide professional leadership to team colleagues, supporting and developing practice? Support and educate students and provide training packages to ensure the workforce is informed of evidence-based practice updates?
Successful applicants can benefit from our commitment to their professional development, with all the support you need to progress your career (including named peer support). You will also enjoy a full range of benefits, including a final salary pension scheme and subsidised childcare provision, as well as flexible working support.
Main duties of the job
Our health visiting teams work to design and deliver services in partnership with local people. We also provide key services that work across wider localities and the city-wide footprint. We believe that our pioneering approach will make a massive difference to the health of people in our city and we are looking for you to join our team and help us do this.
We're committed to achieving the highest standards of individual care for our city's diverse communities. At the heart of this is the 'Healthy Child Programme' which, through early intervention, will positively influence health outcomes for children and families in Manchester.
As a Practice Assessor you will provide clinical, educational and professional guidance to Specialist Community Public Health Nurses (Health Visiting) during their training. Through working with staff directly you will link theory to practice within the community setting enhancing evidence-based practice.
You will be expected to act as a knowledge resource for members of the service working closely with the team lead to support developments within health visiting.
Visiting various families, including some of the most vulnerable, you'll offer a positive influence to the early years of their child's development and family health.
As a result of service transformation and substantial investment, exciting opportunities have arisen in Manchester's Health Visiting service.
