We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Consultant Psychiatrist in Intellectual Disability (ID) CAMHS, or Child & Adolescent Consultant Psychiatrist with experience in ID or Neurodiversity, as part of our comprehensive CAMHS Service in North Derbyshire. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a friendly, dynamic and supportive service, and we are happy to consider less than full-time working/job share as an alternative to the full-time position described.
Participation in the on-call CAMHS Consultant rota at a frequency of 1 in 7 will be required.
We have an excellent, well-established and experienced LD CAMHS team made up of ID and MH nurses, Specialist Support Workers, Speech and Language Therapy, Psychiatry, and Clinical Psychology. The team is led by Dr. Martha Laxton-Kane, Consultant Clinical Psychologist, and has an excellent track record of delivering outstanding patient care, having previously been nominated for their work. We enjoy excellent links with our key partner agencies across North Derbyshire and deliver excellent patient care, have link workers with our Special Schools, and deliver a comprehensive training programme. We work closely with our wider North Derbyshire CAMHS team and have a well-integrated leadership team across the service.
