Welsh-Medium Teaching Assistant Location: NP18 (Welsh-Medium Primary School) Contract Type: Full-Time (Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM) Start Date: 20th of January 2025 Are you a fluent Welsh speaker with a passion for education and supporting young learners? Teaching Personnel is proud to partner with a fantastic Welsh-medium primary school in the NP18 area to recruit a Welsh-Medium Teaching Assistant (TA) starting in January 2025. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in the education sector and make a real difference by leading interventions with small groups of children. Key Responsibilities: Deliver Welsh-medium interventions to small groups, focusing on areas such as reading, writing, verbal communication, and phonics. Support reading fluency and literacy development. Adapt learning programmes to meet the needs of individuals and groups. Assess, record, and report on student progress with accuracy and attention to detail. Prepare intervention plans and contribute to students’ social and emotional well-being. Work across Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2) as required. Follow school policies on child protection, health and safety, confidentiality, and data protection. Collaborate with staff and attend teaching assistant (TA) briefings. Assist in delivering the Welsh curriculum and support the school’s ethos. Requirements: Fluent Welsh speaker with strong written and verbal communication skills in both Welsh and English. Proactive, patient, and empathetic approach to working with children.
