ISS are now recruiting for a Head of Healthcare Cleaning & IPAC Lead to be the strategic lead for the whole Healthcare segment.
As the Head of Healthcare Cleaning, you will be responsible for the development of the Healthcare cleaning model with the key focus on patient safety and Infection Prevention and Control within the hospital environment. You will be required to research & deliver new innovation into the Healthcare cleaning environment and to support the operational teams in delivering these.
You will be responsible for:
* To maintain a healthy, safe and secure working environment in line with current legislation, ISS and Trust policies and procedures.
* Establish a ‘safety first’ culture, engaging all staff in awareness of and adherence to maintenance of a safe working environment.
* To develop and deliver consistent Healthcare cleaning process systems to the operational management teams to provide the tools to deliver world class healthcare cleaning services.
* To review resource levels & cleaning productivity levels required to deliver the ISS standard.
* To lead the implementation of any new Healthcare cleaning processes & initiatives to site management teams. Supporting teams to ensure these are delivered in line with expectations.
* To participate in the preparation of business plans, implementation of company led initiatives and service improvement proposals
* To manage and evaluate objectives and targets for the Healthcare cleaning service as outlined in the Healthcare Cleaning strategy.
* Proactively review financial performance of the Healthcare cleaning service at individual locations, setting and managing action plans as required.
* To conduct yourself in a professional manner ensuring confidentiality, privacy and dignity is maintained at all times in accordance within ISS, Trust and legislative policies and guidelines.
* Ensure that all communications from the Trust, Client Teams, and the Company are cascaded as appropriate.
* Build strong relationships and develop effective communication with the Trust Client(s), and other NHS customers to support building and maintaining of excellent relationships.
* To ensure the quality and performance feedback of the healthcare cleaning service is structured appropriately to measure performance.
* To provide guidance and support to all Healthcare Cleaning Operations teams on ISS and Trust IPAC operating standards to achieve the department’s service provision objectives.
* Participate in the development of and effectively communicate of the Healthcare Cleaning strategy to support delivery of results and service excellence.
* Identify and develop opportunities to grow the business within the organisation, either by extending the scope of Healthcare cleaning or introducing other ISS services.
* To undertake project work as determined by line manager.
Key Requirements:
* Demonstrates an excellent knowledge in Healthcare cleaning and environmental infection prevention and control.
* Can demonstrate roles where has led and developed teams from diverse backgrounds and skills sets.
* Experience working in an operational management role with financial and commercial accountability.
* Experience in sourcing, trialing and evaluating innovation.
* Experience of delivering change programmes, with particular focus on cleaning.
* Requires specialist Healthcare cleaning & IPAC knowledge and high degree of initiative and creativity.
* Can demonstrate that has an eye for detail and the ability to work to deadlines across multiple projects simultaneously.
* Commercial and financial awareness in a client environment.
* Creative and effective reaction & solutioning to operational issues.
