Salary: £35,000 - £38,000 per annum (subject to experience)

As a Project Buyer, you will play a key role in managing time-critical procurement projects, ensuring the efficient sourcing of fabrications, mechanical and electrical automotive components, electrical harnessing, and precision-engineered parts manufactured to detailed technical specifications.

JOB DUTIES
* Supplier Management – Identify, establish, and maintain strong relationships with suppliers capable of meeting business, production, and project timelines.
* Supply Chain Optimisation – Drive cost savings and performance improvements, ensuring suppliers consistently meet delivery, quality, and efficiency targets.
* Contract Negotiation – Secure favourable terms with both new and existing suppliers, covering pricing, lead times, and delivery conditions.
* Compliance & Risk Management – Ensure all contractual terms and conditions are effectively communicated and adhered to within the supply chain.
* Procurement Operations – Process and manage purchase orders, expedite deliveries, and maintain accurate purchase order records.
* Material Supply Coordination – Ensure the timely supply of materials to align with production schedules and business objectives, proactively addressing any supply chain disruptions.
* Supplier Approval & Compliance – Verify that all suppliers are on the approved supplier list, with pricing, terms, and agreements correctly documented and enforced.
* Service Contract Management – Negotiate, establish, and oversee contracts for service providers, ensuring compliance with agreed service level agreements.
* Business Process Improvement – Maximise the effectiveness of the business management system by driving continuous improvement in procurement processes and workflows.
* Cross-Functional Support – Provide day-to-day procurement support to internal teams, contributing to the wider business strategy and operational efficiency.

EXPERIENCE
Preferably, experience working within a manufacturing or production environment, managing both indirect and production-related procurement requirements.
