Role: Medicines Management Senior Pharmacy Assistant Banding: Band 3 Location: Croydon Start Date: ASAP Duration: Ongoing Hours: Full-time/Part-time Rate: £13 - £15 per hour The Pharmacy team at Pulse is seeking a dedicated and experienced Band 3 Medicines Management Senior Pharmacy Assistant to join us in Croydon. This ongoing position offers a competitive hourly rate of £13 - £15. It’s a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment. Duties and Responsibilities: Providing a ward-based dispensing service to streamline patient discharges. Acting as a vital link between the multidisciplinary team at ward level and the Pharmacy Service. Ensuring medication storage and security comply with national standards. Speaking to patients and relatives about their medicines on admission and optimizing patient-owned medicines brought into the hospital through direct discussions with patients, family relatives, and carers. Transferring medicines to other wards to reduce missed doses. Delivering a strong pharmacy presence in a demanding environment. Gaining underpinning knowledge and practical experience in performing medicines management duties. Participating in the general running of the department, undertaking the full range of duties of a pharmacy assistant. Qualifications and Experience: Essential: NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent qualification. Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) as a Pharmacy Technician or Assistant. Desirable: Demonstrated experience in medicines management, including dispensing and optimizing patient-owned medicines. Previous experience working in a clinical or hospital pharmacy setting. Proven ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team. Strong problem-solving skills to address medication-related issues. Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
