An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Band 6 Senior Physiotherapist to join our friendly and supportive team within the Intermediate Care Units at Brentwood Community Hospital.

Main duties of the job
You will be delivering high-quality physiotherapy care to patients referred from neighbouring acute hospitals. Working within a dynamic multi-disciplinary team (MDT), you will:
1. Carry out comprehensive assessments
2. Provide evidence-based rehabilitation interventions
3. Work closely with patients to identify holistic goals and develop person-centred care plans
This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your clinical, supervisory and leadership skills. You will also have the chance to deputise for Band 7 therapists, supervise junior staff and rehabilitation assistants, and support ongoing service improvement projects.

This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).
Starting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment.

* Be a qualified physiotherapist with current HCPC registration
* Have excellent communication, time management, and prioritisation skills
* Demonstrate strong experience in discharge planning and MDT collaboration

Qualifications
* BSc Physio
* HCPC registration
Experience
* NHS experience as B5/6 Physiotherapist
* Previous experience in clinical governance and clinical audit and the implications to the service
* Experience of supervising staff and students.
* Experience of core rotation in elderly care, surgical, orthopaedic and neurology.
* Previous experience with inpatient based rehabilitation
Skills
* Basic awareness of IT and IT skills
* Demonstrate ability to work as an effective team member with excellent interpersonal skills
Other
* Ability to carry out moderate physical manual handling throughout the day as part of clinical duties.
