Role Overview:
The Area Technical Supervisor role is a critical field-based position focused on conducting health and safety audits, quality control inspections, and site inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements at customer sites and installations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Carry out Health and Safety Audits and Quality Control Inspections of Calor Contractors and Installers.
2. Conduct Site Inspections of Company-owned Metered Supply Installation Projects and maintenance of Bulk Tanks.
3. Act as a key safety exemplar within the business to drive positive cultural shifts across the contractor base.
4. Develop, train, and manage an effective Contractor and Installer Panel.
5. Onboard Contractors and Installers to support Calor’s Business & Safety Strategy.
6. Provide necessary technical guidance on LPG installations to the Register of Gas Installers of Ireland inspectorate.
7. Investigate and resolve Appliance/Installation-related Customer complaints.
8. Inspect and Certify Company and Customer-owned Installations.
9. Coordinate response to all After Hours Emergency Calls (24/7).
10. Manage the Company-owned Metered Distribution Sites Out of Hours Emergency Response.
11. Conduct In Field Audits with the CRU.
12. Investigate Incidents at Customer premises and prepare associated Reports.
13. Provide technical advice and support to Contractors, Installers, and Sales Staff.
14. Develop and implement innovative Stakeholder management strategies.
15. Support Sales with cost-efficient technical solutions for large Commercial and Industrial Customers.
16. Manage Regulatory Bodies Field Queries and Correspondence.
17. Manage and maintain High-risk Liquid Installations.
18. Proactively manage cost control elements of Customer Engineering projects.
19. Assist the Customer Engineering Manager in developing budgetary targets.
20. Design and adhere to safety and technical processes.
21. Convert technical requirements into achievable action plans.

The Person:
1. Registered Gas Installer
2. At least 8 years of work experience in installation and maintenance of Oil & Gas projects.
3. Strong knowledge of Health and Safety Standards relevant to the sector.
4. Excellent knowledge of I.S. Gas Standards 3216, 3213, 813, 820, 265, and 329.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Very good knowledge of MS Office and software packages.
7. Team-oriented and customer-oriented.
8. Self-driven and willing to learn new things.
9. Availability to work after hours.
