Job Title: Principal Project Controller
Job Description
Principal Project Controllers operate as individual contributors who provide support to more senior members of the IDT and PMO. They demonstrate introductory leadership skills through task management, coaching, and mentoring.
Key Responsibilities
* Project support to IDTs and other large and complex strategic programmes
* Service Delivery and performance of project teams with assigned IDTs or programmes
* Provide coaching and mentoring to other members of the PCP&R and wider Delivery Support function
* A good understanding of project finances and reporting metrics
* Contribute to the design and improvement of a project support capability and process
Requirements
* Working knowledge of project management principles and how project control activities underpin them
* Sharing knowledge, skills, and best practice across business
* Demonstrable competence in SAP, MS Excel (including add-ins), Word, Outlook, Project, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
* Good organisational and record-keeping skills with ability to prioritise workload and multitask
* Awareness of the project lifecycle, project finances, and sales processes
* Intermediate process management skills
* Recognised expert in a number of project support activities and tools
* Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with individuals at varying levels
* Ability to work as part of a team as well as unsupervised
* Educated to a minimum of GCSE level (to include English and Mathematics)
* Competence against the agreed Project Controls Competency Framework at a level of Foundation or APMP Introduction Certificate desirable
