Team Administrator - Specialist Perinatal Mental Health Service

We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 3 Administrator to provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support for the Countywide Perinatal Mental Health Service. The role of Administrator will be to maintain an effective office base to enable the administrative responsibilities to be carried out, whilst providing secretarial support to senior clinicians. The post holder must be flexible and use their initiative to organise their own workload, dependent on the priorities and requirements at the time.
Main duties of the job
The ideal candidate will be skilled and experienced in administration, and demonstrate keen organisational and self-management skills in order to assist the team to offer a high quality service. The post holder will provide a comprehensive administrative assistant/secretarial service to support duties associated with the service they are working in. Good organisational ability, strong IT skills (including use of Microsoft packages) and flexibility are required.

Qualifications
* Have GCSE level of education or equivalent in Maths and English
* Business Administration NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience
Experience
* A sound knowledge of Microsoft packages
* Previous administrative experience
* Understanding of patient confidentiality
* Experience or understanding of creating records and filing systems and database management using an electronic information system
* Experience of working within a mental health setting
* Experience with Electronic Patient Records
Skills
* Effective communicator and excellent interpersonal skills
* High standard of grammar
* Able to work on own initiative and good organisational skills
* Ability to occasionally deal with distressing or emotional circumstances
* Ability to work in a pressurised environment
* Ability to prioritise own workload and work autonomously with a multi-disciplinary team
