Summary - Basic Function Of The Role Responsible for overseeing the entire manufacturing process, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met. This role involves strategic planning, resource management, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to optimize production operations in Cramlington. The job holder is also responsible for the overall Cramlington site including leading monthly town halls and addressing any site related issues. Job Duties And Responsibilities Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demand through collaboration with sales, marketing, and procurement teams to forecast and plan production requirements. Optimize production processes to maximize efficiency and minimize waste. Coordinate and allocate resources, including manpower, materials, and equipment, to meet production goals. Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure sufficient stock for production. Work with procurement to identify and qualify reliable suppliers. Implement and enforce quality control procedures throughout the manufacturing process and collaborate with the quality assurance team to continuously improve product quality. Supervise and motivate manufacturing staff, including hiring, training, and performance management. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the manufacturing facility ensuring safety incidents are addressed promptly and in line with Company policy. Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction through the implementation of lean manufacturing principles to streamline operations. Manage and drive to completion existing Wave initiatives. Develop and manage the manufacturing budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and financial goals are met; analyse budget variances and implement corrective actions as needed. Communicate regularly with senior management regarding production status, challenges, and opportunities and prepare and present regular reports on key performance indicators and production metrics. Provide overall site leadership by conducting monthly town halls; addressing and correcting any site related issues; and creating and maintaining a positive, engaged workforce on site which operates as one team. Skills And Competencies In-depth knowledge of quality control, safety, and regulatory requirements. Excellent leadership and communication skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Experience Experience Requirements: Proven experience in manufacturing management, with a strong understanding of production processes. Familiarity with ERP systems and manufacturing software.
