Process Control Engineer Introduction to role: AstraZeneca is seeking a Process Control Engineer to join our Utilities team in Macclesfield. As a utilities department we supply the campus with all, Steam, compressed air, Water, Borehole water and manage our effluent discharge. You will be responsible for establishing and improving process control systems to meet operational demands across all the Utilities Control and Instrumentation (C&I) systems. This role involves working with process plant equipment, managing engineering budgets, and ensuring compliance with SHE, GMP, and financial standards. You'll also provide technical expertise and coaching to our teams. Accountabilities Enhance process control systems to meet manufacturing and compliance standards. Manage engineering budgets within your area. Provide technical expertise and development for business and engineering technologies. Manage C&I systems across Utilities department. Manage the calibration process and records. Essential Skills: Knowledge of GXP, Safety, Health, and Environment compliance from a high hazard, Pharma, petrochemical or alike industry. C&I building and process systems including PLC’s, BMS, HVAC, SCADA, HMI’s with a good understanding of electrical building services and mechanical systems. Expertise in Process Engineering best practices and LOPA. Strong understanding of engineering principles. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to manage high workloads and priorities. Proactive attitude with a strong can-do approach. Creation and development of maintenance strategies Desirable Skills: Experience in manufacturing or pharmaceutical settings. Familiarity with AstraZeneca systems (e.g., EUSAP, Coupa). Project planning and management skills. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
