Key Responsibilities Design Azure Cloud solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security. Architect virtual networks (VNets), gateways, and other networking components. Design the integration of Azure services such as Service Bus, Event Grid, Synapse, Blob Storage, Function Apps, and Azure Monitor. Design the integration of the PowerPlatform ecosystem with the existing Common Data Platform. Develop solutions using Azure Machine Learning, Function Apps, and Logic Apps. Oversee API management and authentication processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement cloud strategies. Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members. Key Outputs and Deliverables Artefacts which address business need and align to the data strategy and architectural vision of data in Ofgem. Deliver reference libraries with a focus on re-usability in order to accelerate impending data projects. Produce standards and principles which ensure a consistent and coherent approach to data architecture throughout the organisation. Develop the approach and processes required to deliver effective oversight of data architecture within Ofgem. Person specification Essential Criteria Experience designing, deploying, and servicing modern cloud data technologies with a secure and cost-effective design (e.g. Azure services including VNets, gateways, Service Bus, Event Grid, Synapse, Blob Storage, Azure Monitor, Azure Machine Learning, Function Apps, API management, authentication, and Logic Apps) to deliver a resilient and scalable platform.
