Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust is delighted to host a new commissioning team to support the new East of England Provider Collaborative (EoEPC). The new team will deliver improvements in care for people using specialist mental health services across the East of England region.
The initiative is underpinned by the principles of prevention, early intervention, community-based provision, and least restrictive practice. There are 6 ICBs within the East of England region. ICBs will remain critical partners in developing and commissioning community alternatives to admission to hospital.
The EoEPC supports a population of over six million people, delivering specialist mental health and learning disability services.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for someone who holds patient experience as central to their practice as a registered mental health professional.
The vital role of a Case Manager within the East of England Provider Collaborative encompasses both Quality Assurance and Quality Improvement, ensuring that the care received by Children and Young People in the East of England throughout their journeys through specialist inpatient units is of high quality.
We are looking for an engaging, enthusiastic, and experienced CYPMH practitioner who can build robust relationships with service users, their friends and family, and a variety of other stakeholders in both statutory and non-statutory organisations.

* As a Case Manager, the post holder will work as part of a dynamic team in delivering an effective service to ensure safe and effective care pathways are in place for all service users from across the East of England in specialised mental health care settings, within the NHS and Independent sectors.
* To provide clinical support to the specialist commissioners in relation to the defined population, including projected mapping of future service use, identification of users for future service provision, and planning in terms of future service needs.
* The role supports the business in driving transformation as well as value for money in planning, commissioning, and service delivery, building a combination of subject matter expertise and technical skills to develop a strong service delivery.
Due to the role being across the East of England, the nominated base can be negotiable.
Person Specification
Education / Qualifications
* Registered Mental Health/Learning Disability Nurse or other registered health or social care professional.
* Educated to Masters level or equivalent experience of working at a senior level in the specialist area.
* Possess a relevant additional professional qualification e.g. Diploma, Masters level, or equivalent experience of working at a senior level in the specialist area.
Experience
* Extensive knowledge of specialist areas- CAMHS, acquired through post-graduate diploma or equivalent experience or training.
* Lived experience of Mental Health Services.
Skills & Abilities
* High-level management skills, able to perform at a high level in clinical settings, holding services to account and ensuring effective use of NHS England resources.
* Case management skills, focusing on the needs of the individual and the context of their pathway in relation to all clinical and legal processes.
* High-level communication skills across a range of agency and professional boundaries at a national level.
* Must have an understanding of the background to and aims of current healthcare policy and appreciate the implications of this on engagement.
* Detailed knowledge of legal issues pertaining to the specialist service, including MHA 1983, aftercare under supervision.
* Experience of identifying and interpreting National policy.
* Should have an appreciation of the relationship between the Department of Health and individual provider and commissioning organisations.

* Adaptability, flexibility, and ability to cope with uncertainty and change.
* Willing to engage with and learn from peers, other professionals, and colleagues in the desire to provide or support the most appropriate interventions.
