Job Summary: To determine the immune correlates of successful radiotherapy response in patients with head and neck cancer. The role involves collaboration with laboratory scientists in the Division of Infection and Immunity at CU, supervised by Professor Awen Gallimore, and the Head and Neck Multidisciplinary Team, supervised by Professor Mererid Evans. The post holder will oversee the delivery of novel and/or complex clinical trials at the Cardiff Cancer Research Hub (CCRH). This post is fixed term for 2 years.
Main Duties of the Job:
Co-funded by Velindre Charitable Funds and the Wales Cancer Research Centre (WCRC), this Clinical Research Fellowship will focus on 'Determining the immune correlates of successful radiotherapy response in patients with head and neck cancer'. The post holder will be supported to undertake a higher research degree (MD) and will have the opportunity to undertake a dedicated period of research during their oncology training.

Qualifications:
* Qualified Medical Practitioner
* MRCP
* Full GMC Registration and License to Practise
Experience:
* Oncology experience to STR level
* Clinical experience in managing outpatient and inpatient oncology patients
* Oncology experience including exposure to managing patients in clinical trials
Skills and Attributes:
* Proven ability to use IT to deliver presentations and write reports
* Ability to critically appraise literature
* Ability to demonstrate creativity, innovation, and teamwork
Other:
* Excellence in patient care
