Our NHS client in Wales has appointed us to help recruit a Urological Surgeon Consultant on either a Permanent or NHS Fixed Term basis. The NHS Fixed Term option is available for those not currently on the Specialist Register.
Our client is one of the largest health organizations in Wales, providing a full range of primary, community, mental health, and acute hospital services for a population of around 676,000 people, employing around 16,500 staff and has a budget of around £1.4 billion. The successful appointee will be joining an existing team of 6 Consultants, 1 Associate Specialist & 4 Middle grade Urologists. The appointee will be joining a post with the aim of establishing a sustainable urology robotically assisted surgery cancer service and will be asked to participate in a 1:6 on-call rota.
Furthermore, the appointee will be asked to fulfill further responsibilities such as:
1. Providing elective and emergency inpatient & outpatient services.
2. Participating fully in current research and audit projects.
3. Initiating projects, carrying out teaching, examination, and accreditation duties as required.
4. Contributing to and participating in postgraduate and continuing medical education activity and audit activities.
5. Assisting in clinical governance activities, including clinical audit, clinical effectiveness, risk management, and quality improvement activities.

* 10 PA's. Additional PA's negotiable.
* Experience in robotically assisted surgery is essential.
* Must have GMC Registration.
* Excellent transport & motorway links to big cities such as Manchester, Liverpool, Bristol, and even accessible to Ireland via Seaport.
