Our client is a leading Residential Consultancy, who are looking to hire an accomplished Associate Planner with property consultancy experience. Our client represents top of the class stakeholders, with extensive involvement in the Property Investment space and is committed to expanding their team and position in the market.

Role and Responsibilities
* Preparing planning appraisals to establish the development potential of sites
* Undertaking independent planning policy and planning history and other research
* Liaising and negotiating with planning officers, consultant teams and consultees
* Undertaking site visits and attending client meetings
* Providing assistance in the promotion of strategic development sites
* Preparing and submitting pre-application enquiries
* Preparing planning applications including the drafting of Planning Statements and reviewing and commenting on other consultants' inputs
* Supporting senior colleagues to progress projects from inception to completion
* Engaging with a wide range of stakeholders involved in the planning process
* Maintaining an awareness of market conditions and the impact of government policies
Candidate Requirements
* Chartered town planning status, MRTPI (Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute) or close to achieving it (with relevant planning experience)
* Have a good understanding and knowledge of the planning system
* Have excellent analytic and writing skills
* Have strong planning and organisational skills
* Have time and workload management skills
* Be able to provide clear, concise and well-reasoned advice to clients
* Have the ability to manage your own projects and work as part of a team
* Have confidence in communicating effectively with clients, consultees, and the public
* Hold a full driving licence
* Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and PowerPoint
