What you will do: - Undertake multidisciplinary neurological assessments to identify client needs and work closely with the MDT on joint goals for complex conditions. - Perform specialist physiotherapy assessments within the ICSS/NETT service, focusing on patient-centric care through assessment, treatment, and review. - Confidently communicate medical information, assessments, and recommendations while adhering to trust guidelines for sharing information. - Gain informed consent for interventions and communicate effectively in situations where clients lack capacity, following professional guidelines. - Utilize clinical guidelines and your supervisor's guidance to translate policy into practice in your treatments. - Develop individual physiotherapy treatments using an advanced understanding of client-centred goals, including activities, manual techniques, and education. - Demonstrate empathy towards clients with physical and emotional conditions, delivering sensitive information appropriately. - Coordinate and prioritise your caseload according to service needs, communicating with your supervisor when challenges arise. - Prescribe and manage appropriate equipment for clients to support independence, such as wheelchairs and handling equipment. - Ensure compliance with safety procedures, especially when working as a lone practitioner according to the Lone Working Policy. - Identify the need for external agency support through clinical reasoning and make appropriate referrals.
