Requirements:
- - Must be eligible for SC Clearance (Last 5 years resident in the UK, with no individual trips over 30 days out of the country).
- Must have a valid driving license.
- Strong background in Microsoft .Net with Azure Cloud experience.
- Knowledge of various Off The Shelf systems including IBM Maximo, Dynamics, ESRI ArcGIS, and SharePoint.
- Ideally, experience with Enterprise Architecture methodologies (e.g., TOGAF, COBIT) and EA tools (e.g., Sparx EA, Orbus, LeanIX).
- Deep understanding of architectural styles (e.g., 2-Tier, 3-Tier, Microservice Architecture) and architectural patterns (e.g., Saga, API Gateway).
- Experience with modelling languages like ArchiMate / UML.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, able to analyze and break down complex problems while maintaining a big-picture perspective.
Responsibilities:
- - Serve as an experienced Solutions Architect managing the evolution of the Enterprise Architecture within a secure/MOD-style environment.
- Collaborate alongside another Solutions Architect, reporting to the Head of Architecture and Engineering.
- Shape the strategy for the architecture roadmap, lead on solution designs, and contribute to technology suggestions while liaising with internal stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to architecture governance, guidelines, standards, and best practices.
- Develop and communicate architectural artifacts that guide development, testing, and implementation (e.g., Architecture Impact Assessment, Solution Design Decision).
- Participate in Agile practices and facilitate migration to the cloud, specifically from on-premises to Azure.
