A leading global publisher is looking for an experienced Affiliate SEO Manager to drive and support top-funnel affiliate traffic growth across multiple premium lifestyle, fashion, and travel titles. With a focus on boosting search traffic to commerce content, this role will work closely with Commerce Editors to shape content strategy, monitor performance, and help influence affiliate revenue targets.
This person will be a top-of-funnel audience acquisition expert, with a strong understanding of the UK editorial landscape and how various channels contribute to the research, consideration, and purchase funnel. Reporting to the UK Commerce Director, the role will also collaborate closely with Global SEO and Audience Development teams.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and develop top-of-funnel traffic acquisition strategies for affiliate commerce content
* Partner with Commerce Editorial leads to build acquisition strategies per title, reaching audiences with high-purchase intent and driving revenue
* Execute day-to-day organic SEO tasks: keyword research, content gap analysis, strategic optimisation, competitor analysis, site improvements, and ad hoc SEO support
* Carry out regular SEO audits and report on commerce traffic weekly
* Monitor traffic trends following algorithm updates, taking quick action to recover performance if needed
* Produce reports, analyse data, and share recommendations with stakeholders, proposing new strategies where appropriate
* Proven experience in audience development and editorial SEO for a publisher, media organisation, or content-focused agency
* Hands-on knowledge of publishing and analytics tools (e.g. Dash Hudson, Parse.ly, Apple News Publisher, Google Analytics)
* Strong expertise in enterprise SEO tools (Pi Datametrics, SEMRush, or equivalents)
* High attention to SEO best practices and detail
* Clear written and verbal communication skills
* Proactive, collaborative, and able to work closely with stakeholders
* Strong organisational and time management abilities, with experience managing multiple projects to tight deadlines
