Job Description: Role Overview: The Program Manager for Data Warehouse projects will oversee the successful execution of large-scale data warehousing initiatives. This role involves managing cross-functional teams, ensuring timely delivery, and aligning projects with organizational goals and strategies. The Program Manager will act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring that the data warehouse solutions meet business requirements and deliver value.
Key Responsibilities
1. Program Management: Lead end-to-end program management for data warehouse projects from initiation to closure. Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders. Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets. Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
2. Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with business units, IT teams, and external vendors to gather requirements and align project goals. Communicate project status, updates, and challenges to stakeholders and leadership teams. Facilitate regular meetings and workshops to ensure alignment and progress.
3. Team Leadership: Manage and coordinate cross-functional teams, including data engineers, analysts, and architects. Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to team members to achieve project objectives. Ensure that teams adhere to best practices, standards, and methodologies.
4. Technical Oversight: Oversee the design, development, and implementation of data warehouse solutions. Ensure data quality, integrity, and security throughout the project lifecycle. Collaborate with technical teams to evaluate tools, technologies, and platforms for data warehousing.
5. Performance Monitoring: Track and report on program performance, including key metrics and milestones. Conduct post-implementation reviews to identify lessons learned and opportunities for improvement. Ensure that projects deliver measurable business outcomes and ROI.
Required Skills and Qualifications
1. Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field. Masters degree or PMP/Agile certification is a plus.
2. Experience: Proven experience (5 years) managing large-scale data warehouse or BI projects. Strong understanding of data warehouse architectures, ETL processes, and data modeling. Experience working with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and modern data warehouse tools.
3. Technical Skills: Familiarity with SQL, data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), and ETL tools (e.g., MSBI-SSIS). Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.
4. Soft Skills: Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Strong organizational and time-management abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Experience in managing projects in industries such as finance, insurance.
2. Familiarity with Data technologies and data governance frameworks.
3. Strong analytical skills and a results-driven mindset.
