Summary of the Role We are looking for an experienced architect to manage a variety of residential projects across London and Essex, from concept through to completion. The role involves both project and site management, with a key focus on ensuring that design ambitions and quality are met during construction. You will be responsible for overseeing the on-site delivery of projects and will also have the opportunity to broaden your skills in contract management and project oversight. Your involvement will range from early conceptual stages through to detailed design and planning. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with the Anthro Director to understand project briefs and key drivers behind each project. Develop and produce drawings, sketches, diagrams, and other design-related documents that communicate both design intent and technical construction information. Take full responsibility for allocated projects, ensuring technical delivery, design quality, and timely progression. Liaise with internal team members, external consultants, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure project success, with a particular focus on on-site management to resolve construction issues. Perform plan checks to maintain high standards of project delivery. Ensure compliance with statutory and technical requirements, including planning policies, building regulations/codes, procurement processes, and project stages. Manage deadlines effectively through strong time management and efficient information production. Lead projects internally and externally throughout the procurement process, making decisions to keep projects on track and motivating the team to achieve results. Manage project scope, ensuring that the agreed scope is delivered as outlined in the client agreement, and any changes are clearly communicated and agreed upon. Anticipate potential issues and proactively raise concerns before they become problematic or costly. Maintain a proactive and responsive approach to communication, ensuring all parties are kept informed about project progress.
