Sanctuary Personnel are looking for a Countryside Ranger to work for Derbyshire council.
This is a full-time locum role paying £14.26 - £18.19 per hour.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist with the management, maintenance and care of countryside service sites, facilities and public rights of way.
2. Contribute to specific projects and initiatives as directed by line management.
3. Participate in a range of activities/initiatives to promote the countryside service and countryside management.
4. Prepare reports and information, including analysis, for internal colleagues and line management.
5. Undertake site inspections, prepare reports and minor maintenance schemes and monitor contracts and report on progress as necessary.
6. Undertake short term planning to ensure projects/events are efficiently organised and that work is completed in accordance with required standards and within pre-determined timescales.
7. Maintain manual and electronic record systems associated with the efficient operation of the countryside service.
Applicant Requirements:
1. Educated to Academic Degree Level or equivalent or a significant level of experience relevant to the post.
2. Recent experience.
3. Experience of supporting a team according to available resources and skill levels and working co-operatively with others.
4. Good written and oral communication skills.
5. Knowledge of licensing.
6. Good organisational skills.
