We are seeking to appoint a class teacher who is dynamic, innovative and inspirational. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic and hardworking. You will also;
• have high expectations of behaviour for learning and evidence of consistently outstanding practice
• be committed to developing the whole child, raising standards and working in partnership with parents and the wider community
• understand the importance of nurturing all young learners
• work in partnership with all colleagues to continue to build on the success of the school
• have strong experience of primary teaching
• be flexible and able to adapt to the changing needs of pupils, their families and the school
Job Description:
The following job description is not exhaustive. It is expected that teachers will work closely with the Headteacher and senior leaders to develop the role to reflect the needs and demands of the post.
• Be responsible for the learning and achievement of all pupils in the class/es ensuring equality of opportunity for all
• Be responsible and accountable for achieving the highest possible standards in work and conduct
• Treat pupils with dignity, building relationships rooted in mutual respect, and at all times observing proper boundaries appropriate to a teacher’s professional position
• Work proactively and effectively in collaboration and partnership with all learners, parents/carers, governors, other staff and external agencies at Donnington Primary School in the best interests of pupils
• Act within, the statutory frameworks, which set out their professional duties and responsibilities and in line with the duties outlined in the current School Teachers Pay and Conditions Document and Teacher Standards (2012)
• Take responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of all children and young people within the school
Qualifications
• Qualified teacher status or recognised equivalent (application form).
Experience
• Recent teaching experience within the age range and/or subject.
• Highly knowledgeable on how children learn (Interview)
Knowledge and skills
The ability to effectively:
• Create a stimulating and safe learning environment.
• Establish and maintain a purposeful working atmosphere.
• Place children at the heart of your everyday practice (Interview/observation)
• Plan, prepare and deliver the curriculum as relevant to the age and ability group/subject that you teach, other relevant initiatives and the school’s Primary School’s own policies

The successful candidate will be subject to enhanced clearance through the Disclosure and Barring Service and employment will be subject to references.
