SP Renewables are looking for 2 Marine Coordinators to join their EA3 project based in Lowestoft. This will be on a 2 week rotational basis.

Shifts: 2 weeks rotational (2 on 2 off) - 12 hour shifts - day or night shifts
Rate: IR35, Umbrella and PAYE options available

Main Purpose of Job
* The Duty Marine Coordinator will report to the Lead Marine Coordinator
* Coordination of all project vessels
* Ensuring personnel are tracked from port departure until returning safely back to port.
* Ensure all personnel planning to go offshore meet the correct required training requirements and ensure all required certification is uploaded to OSEM.
* Ensure the Marine Coordination software is utilised to track all offshore transfers and vessel movements.
* Act as the first point of contact for all offshore emergencies
* Ensure Vessel usage is optimised to limit downtime, keep accurate records of any such downtime.
* Ensure Q&HSE policies and procedures are maintained during the offshore works.
* Responsible for ensuring all EA Three ATWS are complied with.
* In-Directly support all packages with onshore and offshore logistic planning and implementation
* Ensure SPR interests are protected both onshore and offshore.
* Is aware of the contractors on site and all relevant team leaders of the contractors working for the project.
Key Tasks
* Plan, coordinate and supervise activities related to the transfer of personnel and Equipment by vessels and/or helicopter to ensure that this is carried out in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner.
* Monitor work control (Authority to work system) to ensure that permits are in place for planned works.
* Supporting the planning of work schedules to maximize the most effective use of personnel and transfer vessels/helicopters.
* Assist Lead MC with preparation of Notices To Mariners, Weekly Notice of Operations and H102's for approval
* Monitor weather conditions to ensure the safety of personnel and to optimize working time offshore.
* Ensure training and inductions in the marine coordination system have been completed by all persons travelling offshore.
* Initiate Emergency Response Plan (ERP) when required and assist according to incident tier level.
* Efficient utilisation of all vessels on Charter to minimise non-productive time.
* Coordinating all marine traffic during offshore operations including transit to and from port.
Key Criteria
* Experience in a marine coordination role. Minimum 2 years as Marine Coordinator.
* Previous experience working in the offshore wind industry.
* Excellent communication skills enabling you to communicate your messages smoothly and efficiently to stakeholders at all organizational levels.
* Have excellent H&S knowledge, ideally within the offshore working environment.
* Offshore marine or helicopter coordination experience, including knowledge of the safety rules.
* Certified VHF operators certificate.
* Knowledge of applicable marine, aviation, and port regulations.
* Good IT skills in MS Office.
* Respectful to internal and external customers.
* Pro-active and diligent approach.
* Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
* Ability to work within international and multidisciplinary team.
* Flexible towards the operations at site, adaptable to change.
