Key Responsibilities: Assist patients with personal care including washing, dressing, toileting, and feeding. Support patients with mobility, including transferring to and from beds, chairs, and using mobility aids. Take and record vital signs (e.g., temperature, pulse, blood pressure, oxygen saturation) under the supervision of qualified staff. Maintain patient hygiene and assist with pressure area care and prevention. Accurately document care provided in patient records, adhering to confidentiality and information governance protocols. Provide emotional and psychological support to patients and relatives. Assist with meal preparation, serving meals, and monitoring nutritional intake. Observe and report any changes in patient condition to nursing staff. Maintain a clean and safe patient environment in accordance with infection control procedures. Support nurses with clinical duties such as wound care preparation, equipment setup, and chaperoning. Escort patients to other departments within the hospital as required. Requirements: Previous experience working as a Healthcare Assistant (within the NHS or hospital setting). Understanding of infection control, patient safety, and safeguarding. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Compassionate, empathetic, and patient-focused approach. Ability to work well as part of a multidisciplinary team. Flexibility to work across various shifts, including weekends and nights if required. Must have Immunisation records (HEP - B, MMR and TB) Must have Hospital experience in UK Desirable Experience: Experience in acute care, elderly care, or high-dependency units. Familiarity with electronic patient record systems (e.g., SystemOne, EPIC).
