The Role
We are looking for lecturers in Business to deliver our programmes on Contemporary Topics in Business Strategy & Advanced Topics in Business Management. These courses are designed for undergraduates interested in Business Management & Strategy.
The programme will be running from 7th July 2025 – 24th July 2025. 1–3-week contracts are available.
We are looking for lecturers to teach the following modules:
1. New Tools and Concepts on Strategic Thinking (13-26 hours per week)
2. Sustainability and Business Strategy (13-26 hours per week)
3. Strategic Innovation Management (13-26 hours per week)
4. Advanced Finance (11 hours per week)
5. Advanced Risk Management (11 hours per week)
The teaching week runs Monday-Thursday and sessions from 9.00-12.30 & 13.30-17.00.
Lecturers will usually deliver a 3-hour session on their area(s) of interest and will have fixed hours according to the modules taught.
Key Responsibilities:
1. To design, review and develop module material in line with the prepared module plan.
2. To deliver lectures which engage students in a dynamic, interactive and stimulating learning experience.
3. Keep up to date with subject-specific and pedagogic innovations.
4. Identify the needs of learners and adapt delivery styles to meet these needs.
5. Keep records of what was delivered.
6. Provide feedback to students.
7. Liaise with fellow lecturing staff and management regarding student engagement and learning.
Knowledge, Qualifications, and Experience
Essential:
1. You will hold qualifications at least to master’s level in the relevant subject area and will ideally hold a PhD or be able to demonstrate equivalent high-level professional experience in the discipline.
2. Have experience teaching students at this level in the relevant subject area.
Desired:
1. Teaching qualifications/accreditation: PGCHE, MA in HE Practice or FHEA etc.
Skills and Attributes:
1. A passion for what you do and the energy to deliver inspiring and practical workshops and lectures.
2. Solid presenting and training experience and an interest in sharing your expertise with people in a multicultural and multilingual environment.
3. An excellent communicator with the ability to transfer their knowledge and expertise to an international audience of second language speakers.
4. Ability to deliver dynamic sessions, involving the learners in real-world tasks or other immersive approaches.
