Summary To assist in the successful design and development of aerospace composite structures in a professional and cost effective way. Responsibilities Mechanical design - Two and three dimensional design of components using CAD CATIA V5 (training provided). Tasks include drawing generation, tolerance studies. - Structural analysis using Finite Element Analysis software. Verification - Generation of Verification Plans. - Mechanical and environmental testing of advanced composite materials and composite components to the relevant specification. Technical report generation - Generation of engineering design specifications and Technical reports in accordance with the company's standard templates. Qualifications The placement provides the student with the opportunity to gain experience in the design and analysis of advanced aerospace composite structures. This position will provide the student with an understanding of engineering processes across a wide range of disciplines and introduce candidates to project organisation and effective time/cost management.
