Job Description: As a Behaviour Specialist Assistant, you will work closely with our students to provide tailored support and guidance in managing their behaviour. You will collaborate with teachers, counselors, and other professionals to develop and implement behaviour intervention plans that promote positive outcomes. Your role will be instrumental in creating a safe and nurturing environment where every student feels valued and empowered to succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Build positive relationships with students and provide individualised support based on their unique needs
2. Assist in the implementation of behaviour intervention plans and strategies to address challenging behaviours
3. Support students in developing social-emotional skills and coping mechanisms
4. Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to maintain a cohesive and supportive learning environment
5. Collect and analyse data on student behaviour to monitor progress and inform decision-making
6. Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers to ensure a coordinated approach to supporting student well-being
Requirements:
7. Experience working with children or young people in a school or educational setting
8. Strong understanding of behavioral management techniques and strategies
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
10. Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting students with behavioural challenges
11. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
12. Relevant qualifications or training in behavior management or special education (desirable)
