The Role
of Workshop Fabricator / Welder includes:
1. Read and work from technical engineering drawings
2. Prepping jobs up
3. Working on stainless steel & Mild steel for process plant and structural framework
4. Tacking and welding up pipe supports, structural beams, stairways, platforms & gantries etc, as well as machinery guarding, ducting, hoppers, chutes and conveyors
5. Bending / cutting / grinding – using saws and presses etc
6. A high standard of TIG & MIG welding required
7. Working to required safety rules and standards required
8. Occasional site support for installations
The successful Workshop Fabricator / Welder will need the following attributes:
9. Time served Fabricator/Welder to Level 3 NVQ / Apprenticeship
10. Food/Beverage/Pharma /Chemical process industry experience highly preferable
11. Highly experienced in TIG & MIG welding
12. Proven track record of similar roles & experience
13. Pro-active, driven, Team payer, organised
14. Interview and weld test required
