Summary
As a Care Assistant, you will be a vital part of providing compassionate care and support to individuals in need within a well-established Care Home. With core skills in caregiving, empathy, and attention to detail, you will assist with daily living activities, medication reminders, and companionship. Your premium skills in driving, care home experience, and creating care plans will enable you to deliver personalised care tailored to each individual's needs.

Qualifications
1. Familiarity with creating and implementing care plans
2. Previous experience in a care home or home care setting
3. Basic IT skills for documentation purposes
4. Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with team members
Key Responsibilities:
* Care Delivery
* Assist residents who need help with dressing and undressing on a regular or occasional basis.
* Assist residents in their daily personal activities to include, but not limited to grooming, washing, bathing (which may include using hoist), hair washing as and when required.
* Ensure accountability charts, fluid charts, turn charts and any other relevant documentation are filled in as appropriate and observe and report to the Senior Care Assistant, and other relevant team member any skin problems or other changes.
* Assist the residents with physical disabilities in using personal aids and equipment as required and in line with your training.
* Provide wheelchairs on a regular or occasional basis when required, and use manual handling equipment when necessary according to the relevant risk assessment and care plan, making sure at all times that safety is paramount.
* Assist residents with their continence needs and record within appropriate records as and when required. Ensure that Infection control is adhered to at all times.
* Help in the promotion of mental and physical activities of the residents through talking to them, sharing with them activities such as reading, writing, hobbies and recreations. Encourage residents to attend group activities.
* Make residents' beds daily (if this is a local policy) and be observant when doing so to ensure bedding and towels are changed regularly and/or as and when required.
* Put away any clean clothes of residents who are unable to do so themselves and set out clean clothes for the following day.
* Remove dirty clothes from rooms and put into the bins provided in accordance with Company procedures.
* Be extra cautious when dealing with soiled clothing and follow Company procedures and Infection Control guidelines at all times.
* Assist residents to enter and exit the dining room for meals where appropriate. Assist residents with their meals and fluids as care planned for individuals.
* Serve refreshments at appropriate times and as and when residents desire to have them.
* Offer and serve refreshments to visitors and visiting professionals as and when required.
* Assist residents with their meals and drinks.
