A well-established and growing SaaS company, specialising in software solutions and cloud-hosted services for the global financial sector, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role offers the chance to manage the financial operations of a dynamic and expanding business.

Your Role
As the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for the comprehensive financial management of the business, encompassing multiple product lines and international entities. This role requires a proactive individual with a proven track record of establishing and maintaining robust financial processes and controls.
1. Oversee all aspects of financial accounting, including sales ledger, purchase ledger, cash/bank reconciliations, general ledger, and cashflows.
2. Develop and implement effective accounting processes and controls.
3. Ensure accurate and timely financial reconciliations and reporting.
4. Manage the year-end close process and coordinate audits.
5. Lead budget preparation, monthly performance reporting, and forecast updates.
6. Collaborate with external HR providers for payroll processing.
7. Manage tax compliance, including UK and US tax returns (VAT, sales tax).
8. Provide financial leadership and support to the senior executive team.
9. Provide support to M&A ,fundraising activities and other projects (transfer pricing)
What you'll need to succeed
10. Full accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
11. UK GAAP
12. Minimum of five years of experience in financial management and team leadership.
13. Strong accounting system proficiency and technical skills.
14. Familiarity with UK and US Tax
15. Advanced Excel skills.
16. Excellent communication and report-writing abilities.
