Job Purpose
We are seeking a highly skilled and performance-driven PPC Manager to lead our Paid Search activity. This role is pivotal in driving the required KPIs across a diverse portfolio of insurance products targeting both consumers and small business owners, managing a critical marketing channel for the business. The PPC Manager will work to exceed target KPIs while continually optimising performance to support the overall ambitious growth plans.
Principal Accountabilities
* Plan, execute, monitor, and optimise Paid Search & Performance Max campaigns across platforms including Google and Bing to achieve and exceed monthly KPI targets.
* Develop and implement strategies for keyword opportunities, campaign structuring, audience targeting, and bid management.
* Generate detailed weekly and monthly performance reports with actionable insights, highlighting opportunities and addressing challenges.
* Create and maintain annual forecasts and quarterly reforecasts, identifying optimisation opportunities and spending efficiencies.
* Foster a strong relationship with Google contacts to leverage their expertise, gain access to new initiatives, and participate in Beta programs.
* Ensure accurate tracking and reporting and swiftly resolve any issues across all PPC accounts. Collaborate with the Web Optimisation Lead to ensure accurate data in GA4 and other reporting tools to track and improve channel performance.
* Partner with the SEO Manager to share insights and maximise opportunities between PPC and SEO efforts.
* Forecast and set up PPC accounts for new product launches, ensuring optimal performance from day one.
* Adopt a test-and-learn approach to improve campaign performance through iterative testing of campaign structures, ads, keywords, and landing pages.
* Present monthly PPC performance updates and insights to the Senior Marketing Team.
* Work closely with key members of the Marketing team to share useful data, trends and insights that could be used to improve wider marketing activity.
* Work with Senior Acquisition Manager to ensure successful optimisation of MMM strategy to ensure best allocation of marketing spend.
* Monitor competitors and conduct benchmarking to maintain a competitive edge.
* Stay informed about advancements in Paid Search technologies and best practices.
Key Objectives
* Deliver targeted sales and achieve KPIs across the PPC channel.
* Manage budgets effectively, capitalising on opportunities and minimising inefficiencies.
* Continuously evaluate and improve PPC effectiveness.
* Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including platform partners.
Experience Requirements
* Expertise in managing paid search campaigns across platforms like Google Ads and Microsoft Ads.
* Proven track record of working in e-commerce KPI-driven environments with consistent achievement of goals.
* Strong organisational skills with a results-oriented mindset.
* Ability to analyse data and translate it into actionable strategies.
* Proficiency in Excel and reporting, with exceptional attention to detail.
* Experience with website analysis tools such as GA4 and DoubleClick.
* Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
* Self-motivated and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
* Experience and understanding of data-driven measurement and multi-touch attribution models (including MMM).
* Familiarity with additional marketing channels such as Organic Search, Paid Social, and Affiliate Marketing.
* Experience in e-commerce, particularly within the financial services sector.
* Insight into the unique challenges faced by medium-sized e-commerce companies.
* Experience with in-house creative production processes, including landing page optimisation and asset creation.
