Job Title: SEN Vocational Teacher (SEMH)Location: Bedford (MK44)Rate: £120 - £140 per day (dependent on experience/MPS)Contract Type: Potential long-term to permanent opportunityWe are currently seeking a proactive and experienced SEN Vocational Teacher to join a supportive SEMH school in Bedford. The school caters to learners aged 7 to 19 with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, including those who have been excluded or suspended from mainstream settings.Key Responsibilities: Deliver engaging vocational lessons tailored to SEMH learners, focusing on practical skills and real-world applications. Manage challenging behaviours effectively with a positive and understanding approach. Support learners' communication needs using strategies such as Widgit, PCS, and Makaton (desirable). Foster a safe and inclusive learning environment.Key Requirements: Experience working with SEMH learners in the UK. Strong understanding of behaviour management. TeamTeach certification (desirable).
