Accountancy firm in the city of London has vacancy for a trainee accountant /bookkeeper who ideally have previous experience working in an accountancy practice.
This full-time role offers the successful candidate exposure to a wide range of clients across a variety of sectors. It will help you develop your technical skills and professional development.
Responsibilities:
• Perform bookkeeping, payroll preparation, and VAT return submissions
• Manage financial administration and electronic document organization
• Prepare statutory financial statements from primary records or trial balances
• Compile management accounts and assist with reporting
• Respond to management inquiries related to financial data and reports
• Prepare tax computations and returns
• Communicate with clients and support senior staff and managers
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies
Skills / Experience:
• Academic background in accounting and finance
• Good knowledge of World and Excel
• Previous experience of using Sage Accounts, Xero and Quick Books would be advantageous.
• Previous experience of tax (payroll, personal and corporation tax) would be advantageous.
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Highly organised and ability to meet deadline.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Confidence and professionalism when dealing with clients.
• Ability to work on your own initiative or as part of a team
