Job Title: IT Support Specialist
Location: Onsite in offices in Redhill, Surrey
Salary: Up to £39,000 per annum
Background:
Join a dynamic team responsible for providing IT services across a network of international offices. The UK office houses a data center that supports the core in-house database system and other hosted services for UK and European locations. Currently, all office systems are undergoing migration to Microsoft Azure services.
Role Overview:
The IT Support Specialist will manage software deployment and updates, hardware replacement, backup management, troubleshooting, and the migration to and management of online services, including SharePoint, MS Teams, MS Azure, and MS Exchange. The role includes providing first and second-line technical support to local and remote users for common software applications, as well as the in-house database system.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deploy and update software applications.
* Replace hardware as necessary.
* Manage backup processes and restore operations.
* Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues for users.
* Assist in the migration to online services such as SharePoint, MS Teams, MS Azure, and MS Exchange.
* Provide 1st and 2nd line technical support for both local and remote users.
* Support users in configuration and troubleshooting of MS Office applications, particularly Outlook.
Requirements:
Candidates must demonstrate experience in the following areas:
* Microsoft Server (2012 R2, 2019, 2022)
* Microsoft Active Directory
* Group Policy Console in Microsoft Networks
* Client-server printer configuration in Windows environments
* Network Administration with knowledge of routing protocols and devices
* Basic knowledge of CISCO operations
* Backup and Restore operations
* Windows 10/11 support
* Supporting users with Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook
* Enterprise-level Antivirus solutions
Desirable Skills:
* Office 365 experience
* SharePoint knowledge
* Client-server application development experience
* Proficiency in PowerShell scripting
* Experience with Symantec Backup Exec
* Familiarity with Sophos Antivirus
* Azure experience
