Job Summary Layout engineering consists of arranging the cable route and equipment position on the plant by interfacing with other engineering disciplines. Responsibilities Working closely with other MEH disciplines to ensure accurate and efficient building electrical layout design. Produce technical documents such as status reports, handover packages, change requests and impact analysis. Technical coordination, production and monitoring of electrical layout engineering studies for one or more buildings, on which includes equipment such as: Electrical Cable Trays Cable Saturations and Tray filling ratios Electrical Cable Tray supports Earthing system Low Voltage Distribution system (Building Specific – Fire detection, Communication system, lighting and normal power supply). Overall integration of electrical layout design into the dedicated buildings. Monitoring and resolution of design Open Points, design changes and design non-conformances for electrical layout discipline. Reception of input data for the layout engineering of the building (Process & Instrumentation Diagrams, equipment data, cable list, electrical load list, etc.), analysis and verification of technical consistency. Multi-disciplinary co-ordination activities and performing technical clash resolution meetings with HVAC, Piping, Civil and other disciplines. Stakeholder management in terms of managing client reviews, execution designer reviews and supplier catalogues integration in 3D model. Production and review of related technical documents (Layout Release Reports, design changes, CTS and handover packages). Review and assessment of deliverables produced by electrical execution designers such as drawings or 3D design packages. Support and follow up of execution design activities undertaken by MEH partners as per instructed by client Support to resolve queries coming from site based design teams (JDO). Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience Master’s degree in electrical engineering (or equivalent) In the absence of a master’s degree in electrical engineering, significant qualifications in an Engineering field with necessary work experience. Industrial Building Construction /Detail Design experience. 3D Tools and advance excel experience. Multi-disciplinary management. Understanding of general layout rules and electrical layout requirements in industrial projects. Execution of Design Review and on site queries management. 3D software experience, e.g. ENOVIA, CATIA, PDMS, E3D, Revit.
