We are looking for a passionate Assistant Practitioner to join our dynamic stroke and neuro rehabilitation Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy team. You will work across the professions of both Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy, providing specialist treatments, as well as demonstrating a degree of assessment skills. You will be flexible in your approach and be able to provide cover across both inpatient and community settings. You will have opportunities to work with patients on an individual level, as part of a team, and in group settings. You will be supported by a specialist team and will be facilitated to continue to develop your knowledge and skills in this exciting area.
The post holder will need to have an interest in, and demonstrate skills confidently in gardening, craft, pottery and art, using a variety of equipment, materials and techniques. They will need to demonstrate experience of group work within a clinical setting.
As the post involves community work, being a car driver is essential.
To support patients to achieve their rehabilitation goals by providing treatment programmes.
To complete stroke /neurology specific therapeutic interventions under the direction of by Occupational Therapists, and Physiotherapists.
To act as a key worker for patients on caseload providing feedback to clinicians.
